Winter has begun in Korea, bringing the seasonal atmosphere to the 'Visit Korea' platform of the Korea Tourism Organization, which announced the launch of a new event titled 'Imagine Your Winter Wonderland' during the period from 1 to 21 December 2025. This initiative aims to engage the global audience in an interactive digital experience that reflects the charm of the Korean winter and offers participants the chance to win valuable prizes.

This initiative is part of the series of seasonal events organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, which seeks to strengthen cultural communication with Korea enthusiasts. The event relies on a simple and enjoyable mechanism, as there were three activities: The first activity required participants to log in daily to the event page and take part in decorating the tree, a symbolic idea reflecting the warmth of the winter atmosphere. The second activity included various daily tasks over three weeks, where each week participants were asked a yes-or-no question to enter the prize draw. The third activity involved submitting suggestions and ideas related to winter in Korea, encouraging continuous participation and the discovery of new aspects of Korean culture in an innovative and seamless way.

I began my daily participation by decorating the tree with vibrant colors and also by taking part in the other activities, and my excitement kept growing more and more.On the Visit Korea website, a variety of attractive prizes were offered for this event, including electronic devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab and the Samsung Galaxy Watch, as well as cultural gifts reflecting Korean identity, such as a desk calendar, a notebook, and a reusable cup featuring designs inspired by Korean heritage. In addition, digital gift cards were provided for other winners, adding an extra layer of excitement and daily anticipation to the event.

Every day, I eagerly logged in to see the new tasks and decorate the virtual tree, filled with excitement and hope. I truly wished to win, and each day I looked forward to the moment when the day would refresh, giving me a new chance to participate. And when the results were finally announced…on December 26, with participants from around the world, myself included, eagerly awaiting the official announcement. Although luck was not on my side this time, the experience itself was truly valuable. Participating in such events offers an enjoyable opportunity to engage with Korean cultural content and to discover the innovative ways Korea presents its tourism to a global audience. Rather than discouraging me, this experience has strengthened my enthusiasm to continue taking part in similar contests in the future, highlighting the importance of these initiatives in enhancing cultural communication among Korea enthusiasts worldwide and encouraging Korea.net readers to join future events.
