La 28° Feria Internacional de Turismo (FIT) América Latina abrió sus puertas en el tradicional espacio de La Rural, predio ferial de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, con una multitudinaria asistencia que la distingue, año tras año, como una de las cuatro ferias de turismo más importantes a nivel mundial.
Corea dijo presente con un stand creado por una agencia de viajes argentina que ofrece diferentes planes y servicios turísticos al país asiático.
Bajo el intenso sol primaveral del día domingo 29 de septiembre realicé la fila para esperar el acceso a la 28° FIT 2024. A las 14 horas abrieron las puertas y me dirigí al área de acreditaciones y prensa. Ya listo para iniciar mi recorrido comencé a hojear el mapa de la feria que contiene seis sectores: FIT Food, Outdoor, Fit Tech, Pabellón Brasil (país invitado), Pabellón Nacional y Pabellón Internacional.
El Pabellón Internacional consta de 128 puestos. Antes de localizar la ubicación y número del stand sobre Corea, me percaté de que una chica tenía en la mano un abanico que decía Corea. Ella resultó ser mi mejor GPS.
Al llegar al stand visualicé un paisaje con una vivienda y flores de cerezo, una pantalla que proyectaba k-dramas y una chica vestida con el tradicional hanbok. Sin duda, ¡era Corea!
El stand me ofreció información de datos básicos sobre la República de Corea. Por ejemplo, que la capital es Seúl, el idioma es el hangul y la moneda el won coreano. Tiene una población de 51,63 millones de habitantes en un territorio de 100.210 km², siendo el total del territorio casi como el territorio de la provincia de Catamarca en Argentina.
El tema de las estaciones es algo sobre lo que se detuvieron los expositores que hacían parte del stand, detallando la posibilidad de temperaturas máximas que pueden alcanzar los 30°C en agosto y una mínima de 5°C bajo cero durante el invierno de febrero. Justo por estas características climáticas se aclara que el turismo en verano recorre en 17 días las ciudades de Seúl, Jeju, Busan, Gyeongju y Yongin, mientras que en invierno el circuito está conformado por Seúl, Paju, Jeju, Busan, Gyeongju, Yongin y Gagwon, durante 19 días.
Finalmente, el stand me proporcionó siete frases y palabras útiles para viajar:
