Qui dit été, dit Festival….
On pense tous au phénoménal Waterbomb de Seoul à Busan mais en France nous ne sommes pas en reste !
Solidays, HellFest, les Eurockéennes, Mainsquare, etc la liste est longue et les programmations éclectiques, mais on oublie parfois que Japan Expo en fait aussi partie grâce à sa programmation musicale très riche.
Cependant vous vous demanderez pourquoi parler du Japon ici, ça n'est pas la plateforme pour, mais justement, nous allons voir que la Corée se fait la part belle au sein du Salon cette année encore !!
Japan Expo est le 3ème plus grand salon français, en record de visiteurs d'après INFORA.
Pour 2024, c'est 503 heures de programmation prévues sur 4 jours :
- 118 séances de dédicaces réparties sur 9 espaces
- 81 showcases et 30 spectacles sur 16 scènes
- 83 conférences.
Du 11 au 14 juillet 2024, au Parc des Expositions de Villepinte, vous retrouverez sur 140 000 m² toute la Pop Culture japonaise mais pas seulement, puisque, depuis 2022, la marque AMAZING (principalement sur la scène SKY) permet à la Pop culture du monde entier d'être représentée pour notre plus grand plaisir, de l'Afrique aux USA en passant par la Corée, qui y prend une large part.
WEBTOONS
Tout d'abord, ce sera séances de dédicace avec Sleepy C, Guest of Honor spécial Webtoon, qui est la principale artiste (d'une équipe de 9 personnes) qui a mis en images le Naver Webtoon à succès “Omniscient reader's viewpoint” (édité en papier chez Pika Editions depuis le début de l'année) .
Retrouvez cette artiste le vendredi, samedi et dimanche :
- sur le stand de Pika Éditions dans le Hall 5A emplacement E180
- en séance de dédicace sur l’espace Amazing Stars
- pour une session de live drawing
On continue avec la présence sur le Stand WEBTOON vendredi, samedi, dimanche de Lim Lina, la créatrice de “White Blood” et de Kim JungHyun, créateur de “Viral Hit”, qui collaborent et dessinent ensemble “Killer Peter” .
Ils animeront des conférences, un drawing show, il y aura évidemment des séances de dédicaces.
Et l'animé “Viral Hit” sera diffusé en collaboration avec la plateforme de CrunchyRoll.
Jeudi et vendredi seulement, YOUN, fondateur et producteur éxécutif en chef de YLAB Corp. sera présent pour une conférence et une séance de dédicaces.
Il est l'auteur du manga “Defense Devil” et le producteur du webtoon à l'origine de la série Netflix “Kingdom”
EXPOSITION “Les dramas coréens”
Puisqu'on parlait de Netflix, au Hall 4 - D026, vous découvrirez 5 époques de l'Histoire coréenne au travers du prisme des Kdramas. Une jolie occasion de revoir nos héros favoris.
WEBCULTURE
Vous pourrez retrouver le Youtubeur/instagrameur/TikTokeur KoreaDash - The Dashing aux 190k d'abonnés, bien connu pour ses videos rigolotes qui nous expliquent la culture coréenne.
Il sera là pour dédicacer et animer des activités sur des stands du festival.
DANSE
Le dimanche et dernier jour, retrouvez sur la scène ICHIGO l'Event musical spécial KPOP avec des dance cover des grands classiques de 1992 à 2018 avec les Crews suivants :
*Les parisiennes de Outsider Fam ont débuté en 2018, 20 membres au total de 16 à 24 ans.
Avec une chaine Youtube bien prolifique (115 vidéos) et qui cartonne (11 756 866 vues), le groupe OUTSIDER FAM vous transmettra tout leur Groove. Ci dessous un petit aperçu Old school avec une dance cover de Ikon.
*Namja Project le groupe parisien aux 20 membres a aussi débuté en 2018, ils sont moins actifs sur Youtube (66 videos) mais ils enchainent les battles live et ils ont remporté le Kpop World Festival en 2018 et 2022.
Rien ne vaut une petite démonstration avec un grand classique de la KPop en video, spécial “Namja” (qui signifie Homme en coréen). .
*MH Project (Make History Project) est le groupe le plus récemment fondé, actifs depuis 2022 à Lyon, ils sont actuellement 17 membres de 18 à 30 ans mais pour l'occasion, ils seront un peu plus d'une vingtaine sur scène. Vous pourrez les retrouver le vendredi pour une activité à 12h15, le samedi à 13h30 et 2 performances le dimanche.
Leur chaine Youtube est également bien alimentée (110 videos pour plus d'un million de vues) et l'ambiance sera au rendez vous, comme vous pouvez le voir ci dessous.
MUSIQUE
Les artistes invités termineront leurs 4 jours de shows/dédicaces/photocall/fanmeeting sur cette même scène avec des performances spéciales.
Vous pourrez profiter de UK ce chanteur coréen qui a débuté sa carrière au Japon dans le groupe APEACE. Il revient après son service militaire et comme vous pourrez le constater sur son titre de solo debut, il est aussi un excellent danseur.
Les françaises de Starseed'z ne sont pas en reste niveau danse, fondé sur le “modèle Kpop”, leur groupe reprend les codes et les entrainements pour atteindre le haut niveau instauré par l'industrie musicale sud coréenne !
et les 8 memebres U&Pia ce boyband japonais qui s'inspire autant de la JPop que de la Kpop pour arriver à leur propre style innovant, sont aussi très calés en danse et promettent un sacré show.
Un programme dense qui promet un week-end bien chargé pour les amateurs de la Corée et du Japon, dépêchez vous de réserver sur la billetterie du site de Japan Expo, tout le monde ne pourra pas y assister !.
