Since 1998, the Boryeong Mud Festival has been held annually on Daecheon Beach, and this year it once again opened its doors to visitors.
Attracting both domestic and international tourists, the festival offered countless visitors a fun-filled experience once again this year.
In its 28th edition, the festival featured a variety of activities including mud slides, mud wrestling, body painting, massages, and open-air spa treatments.
In addition to these, cultural events such as K-pop concerts, DJ festivals, and drone shows brought a modern flair to the celebration.
According to research, the mineral-rich mud is highly beneficial for the skin.
Accommodations, food and beverage vendors, and small businesses actively support visitors around the festival site. The city also provides themed transportation services like the “Mud Tram.”
Guests enjoy the blue waters of Daecheon alongside an air show performed by the Korean military.
