K-pop and P-pop enthusiasts gathered at SM Seaside Cebu for the much-anticipated Love, Afterall: Love Concert, organized by the Cebu K-pop Convention, Pink Productions, and Cebu K-pop Icon Hunt on September 13, 2025. The event marked a significant comeback after years of hiatus, with the last concert held before the COVID-19 pandemic. For many attendees, the concert symbolized a return to community, connection, and celebration after years of uncertainty.
The event brought together various fandoms in Cebu to showcase their passion for both K-pop and P-pop. Dance groups performed diverse routines that highlighted creativity, teamwork, and dedication to their idols. Beyond the stage, booths lined the venue, offering official and fan-made merchandise, light sticks, banners, and other collectibles. Guests also enjoyed freebies and activities prepared by participating fandoms, further creating a festive and engaging environment.
For organizers and participants, the concert was more than just a show—it was a space to connect with people who share the same interests. Gabby Espina, one of the organizers and a former participant of previous Love Concerts, emphasized the supportive atmosphere of the event.
“I like this kind of event because it’s like a showcase,” she shared. “You become encouraged by seeing others perform. You’re not there to compete or feel pressured—you’re just there to enjoy and receive support.”
Staying true to its theme, performers gave out flowers during their sets. These flowers symbolized love expressed through simple gestures and non-verbal communication. Fandoms also had the opportunity to promote their idols, announce upcoming projects, and host interactive mini-games, allowing fans to bond and strengthen their sense of community.
Event organizer Evee Ragasajo highlighted the deeper meaning of the gathering:
“Love is the main goal and conclusion of all this—that’s why we call it Love, Afterall. We wish for nothing but love: to give love, be loved, and feel love in these simple ways.”
In essence, the Love, Afterall: Love Concert stood as a reminder of how music and fandoms create lasting connections. Beyond the performances and activities, the event highlighted the joy of coming together as a community—where passion, creativity, and support go hand in hand. For Cebu’s fans, it was not just about celebrating their favorite artists, but also about building friendships, sharing experiences, and carrying forward the message that, after all, love remains at the heart of it all.
