Ms. Lee, Yun Joo, the first counselor at the Embassy, also addressed the participants, highlighting three key points about Korea:
- She reminded everyone of Korea’s journey since the Korean War (June 25, 1950 to July 27, 1953). Once a poor country and now a global leader in technology and culture. The presence and knowledge of the participants of The Quiz is a testament to this significant change.
- This year is the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between The Kingdom of Norway and The Republic of Korea. For this reason, the 2024 Quiz on Korea was extra meaningful.
- The Quiz was a learning opportunity. The quiz provided a fun and dynamic way for participants to deepen their knowledge about Korea. Ms. Lee expresses excitement about the competition and encourages participants to do their best. The winners would demonstrate their knowledge of Korean culture. Those who did not win were encouraged to try again next year.
