The fifth round of the O-NE Superrace Championship 2025 will be held on Aug 9th at the Inje Speedium in Inje-gun, Gangwon-do, as part of the "Gangwon International Motor Festa”. There are total of seven classes, namely the Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 class, GT4, GTA/GTB, LISTAM, Formula Korea & Japan, Korea Superbike Championship, and Eco Rally. The finals of the major classes will be held at night.

Among the racers in the Toyota Gazoo Racing 6000 class is rising star Kim Moo-jin. In his 20’s, Kim has already been making waves in the world of motorsport, bringing a fresh wave of enthusiasm and talent to the sport. On July 28th I had the opportunity to interview him through Instagram.
“I have always loved speed since I was young,” he explains. His father's influence also played a significant role in his desire to race. Kim Moo-jin, who recently joined the One Racing team, entered motorsports through kart racing in 2017, and took on a full-fledged box car challenge in 2020 by participating in the ‘Superrace Championship’ GT class as a member of Team ES. In the first year of the challenge, he participated in seven final races and recorded two top 10 finishes.

After his discharge from military service last year in 2024, he made a comeback. In his first race this year he debuted for Superrace Toyota Gazoo 6000 Class and achieved 5th place overall which was a good result for a rookie. He has shown his potential by performing a steady run in his first game of the debut season.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Superrace fifth round at Inje Speedium has give lots of confidence for Kim “I have many good memories at Inje Speedium, so I think it is one of the circuits I am most confident about. I would say that this is my favourite track,” explained Kim, recalling his glory in 2021 when he won the second round of the GT class held at Inje Speedium.

Maintaining good physical fitness and stamina are also very crucial for a racer. “I usually do workout exercise routines about 3 times a week and every day starting two weeks before the competition,” said Kim. When asked about how he overcomes challenges during the race, Kim said, “I try to regain focus by doing long and slow breathing.”
“Even after I turn 50, I want to show myself as a professional racing team driver and show that I am still going strong,” he said, explaining how he wants to see himself in the future.

The final round “final battle” will held at Everland speedway on Nov.1-2. Kim asks all his fans for full support for the rest of the round in O-NE Superrace Championship 2025, “I will do my best to make a good result” he added.
With the increase in popularity of domestic motor sports, O-NE Superrace Championship 2025 is predicted to be one of the hottest events in Korea this year. This championship has a unique concept for each round to add to the audience’s fun of watching. Including the Night race that was first introduced in 2012. This is a perfect event for motorsport enthusiasts to see Korean local talent in car racing and to experience the blend of high-speed action and entertainment in Korea's premier racing series.
