In celebration of the shared passion for Korean culture and the growing friendship between Vietnam and Korea, the 2025 annual gathering of K-Influencers and Korea.net Honorary Reporters took place on the morning of June 28th at the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in Vietnam, located at 49 Nguyễn Du Street, Đống Đa District, Hanoi Capital, Vietnam. The event was a heartwarming reunion of cultural enthusiasts who have been dedicated to promoting the beauty of Korean culture through thoughtful articles, engaging videos, and vibrant social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.

The event opened in a cheerful and interactive atmosphere, led by the MC of the event with a lighthearted yet intriguing quiz: “How many K-Influencers and Honorary Reporters from Vietnam are currently active in 2025?”. The question served as a light-hearted opener, drawing an engaged and energetic response from the audience. The official number—152 members, including 115 living in Vietnam and 37 Vietnamese students and professionals currently residing in Korea—was met with admiration. This figure not only showcases the growing scale of Korea-related cultural activities in Vietnam,but also shows how passionate Vietnamese young people are about introducing Korean culture to more people around the world.
A memorable part of the event was the sincere and thoughtful speech by Mr. Choi Seung Jin, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam. In his speech, he expressed deep appreciation for the continued efforts of the K-Influencers and Honorary Reporters, whose creative works have become important bridges connecting people across cultures. He emphasized that their contributions are vital in nurturing mutual understanding and cultural exchange between the two nations.

To further engage participants, the MC—also a staff member at the Center—provided a brief but insightful overview of the Korean Cultural Center (KCC), outlining its role as a hub of cultural exchange and education. A special moment came when it was announced that 2026 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam. This upcoming milestone signifies not only two decades of the KCC’s active presence but also highlights the deepening and more active cooperation between Korea and Vietnam.

Adding a personal touch to the event, three outstanding Honorary Reporters were invited to share their journeys with Korea.net. Through their heartfelt stories, they shared how their journeys as cultural ambassadors have shaped their identities, deepened their appreciation for Korean culture, and provided meaningful platforms to engage with readers and audiences worldwide.

Following the heartfelt and passionate reflections shared by three outstanding Honorary Reporters, the audience had the opportunity to hear from Ms. Hai Yen, a K-Influencer who shared her personal story of transitioning from an Honorary Reporter to a K-Influencer. In her first year taking on this new role, she talked openly about the many challenges she faced and the new experiences she had when starting her journey in content creation and promoting culture. Her journey reflected a spirit of adaptability, creativity, and continued dedication to sharing Korean culture in meaningful and engaging ways.

Following the warm and honest sharing from the honorary reporters and the K-influencer, the event reached one of its most memorable moments. The Director of the Korean Cultural Center presented bouquets and certificates to the outstanding honorary reporters in recognition of their dedication and contributions over the past year.

A commemorative group photo was then taken with all honorary reporters and K-influencers, celebrating the spirit of unity and accomplishment. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, joy, and a sense of pride, as smiles and laughter lit up the room—a fitting end to a meaningful gathering.

Following the ceremony, participants gathered for a light tea break featuring an assortment of pastries, fresh fruits, and drinks. This relaxed moment provided a wonderful chance for everyone to take a short break, exchange experiences in writing articles and producing videos, and most importantly, build new friendships through thoughtful and friendly conversations.

After the formal part of the gathering concluded, Ms. Yoon Ok Seon from the Korean Cultural Center led a hands-on workshop where she showed everyone how to make lucky leather pollack keychains. Everyone watched carefully as she demonstrated each step, then happily followed along.

After the keychains were finished, the room was full of smiles and cheerful energy. Many participants proudly showed their keychains, taking photos and sharing them online. Some attached them to their motorbike keys, while others hung them on their bags. It was a small but meaningful activity that left everyone with a happy memory to take home.
