On the evening of May 31, the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City was full of energy as BABYMONSTER, the newest girl group from YG Entertainment, brought their “HELLO MONSTERS” concert to Vietnam. Thousands of fans holding lightsticks and singing along to every song came together for a night to remember.

As an honorary reporter for Korea.net and a proud MONSTIEZ, I carefully planned my trip from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. I booked my concert ticket, flight, and hotel early to make sure everything went smoothly. When I arrived at SECC, I was amazed by the huge crowd of excited fans and the beautiful BABYMONSTER decorations everywhere. There were photobooths, merchandise stands, and check-in spots, all busy with people taking photos and having fun. The atmosphere was full of excitement, and everyone was waiting for the concert to begin.
At exactly 6:00 PM, the stage lit up and BABYMONSTER stepped into the spotlight. They kicked off the night with a powerful remix of “Drip,” setting the mood for an evening full of energy. For the next two hours, the group impressed the crowd with strong vocals, sharp dance moves, and touching moments with fans.
The performance included their most popular songs, special covers of BLACKPINK’s hits like “Kill This Love” and “As If It’s Your Last,” and throwback stages from their survival show BABYMONSTER: Last Evaluation. Although member Rami couldn’t join due to health reasons, the other members stayed strong and gave fans a complete and exciting show.
One of the most touching moments came when a behind-the-scenes video was shown, highlighting BABYMONSTER’s excitement about visiting Vietnam. In the video, the members shared their wishes to try famous local dishes like banh mi and bun cha, and talked about their hope to visit beautiful places such as Phu Quoc Island.
Their smiles and warm words showed a true interest in Vietnamese culture. It was clear that this tour stop was special to them. For many fans in the audience, hearing the group express such genuine feelings about Vietnam made the night even more meaningful.
After the show, two fans, Nguyen Tran Thanh Thao (20) and Nguyen Tran Anh Thu (26), spoke with an honorary reporter from Korea.net about their happiest moments during the concert. What touched them most was seeing the BABYMONSTER members speak directly to the audience in Vietnamese.
Nguyen Tran Thanh Thao said, “The concert was only halfway through, but the whole place was already full of cheering and excitement. We could not stay in our seats because the energy was so strong. The members of BABYMONSTER truly showed their love to the fans. After this experience, I think we will keep following and supporting them for a long time.”
BABYMONSTER’s “HELLO MONSTERS” concert was not only an important moment for the group but also a sign of how K-pop is growing stronger in Vietnam. The music, the message, and the memories from the night will stay with fans long after the last song ended. As the lights went down and fans left the venue, one thing was clear: the connection between BABYMONSTER and their Vietnamese MONSTIEZ has only just started.
