Korean strawberries have a magical quality to them, with their vivid red color, the ideal combination of sweetness and acidity, and the exquisite scent that remains with each taste. As a big fan of everything Korean, from culture to cuisine, I've always loved these delectable berries. So when I got the chance to attend the Korean Strawberry Summit in Dubai, I knew I was in for a treat—quite literally!
A Celebration of Strawberries from Korea:
The event, a business-to-business meeting featuring quality Korean strawberries, was hosted at Zabeel House by Jumeirah The Greens conducted by AT center, Dubai. I was immediately greeted by displays with strawberry themes, educational guides, and tasting stations with the greatest Korean strawberry kinds. Several varieties of strawberries were featured at the event, including:
• Seolhyang : renowned for its enormous size, vivid red hue, and intense taste. A premium variety known for its extra-large size and delicious sweetness is King's Berry.
• Janghee : This gently tangy, deep red oil is ideal for people who prefer a well-balanced flavor.
• Keumsil : A little, cone-shaped type with a sweet scent and a high sugar content.
• Honghee : Dense and firm, with a rush of cool juice in each bite.
A Tasty Adventure:
One of the highlights of the evening was a Korean strawberry smoothie, a silky and cool concoction that encapsulated the flavor of these high-quality berries. Very little sugar was used because there was so much natural sweetness! Having the chance to sample some fresh strawberries, which were incredibly juicy and delicious, further reinforced my belief that Korean strawberries are among the best in the world. I even had the opportunity to sample Strawberry Bingsu, Cheese Crackers with Strawberry and Sumac Powder, and Mochi.
To differentiate between local and Korean strawberries, they even had a tasting test, and guess what? I won. Sorry, nothing compares to the flavor of Korean strawberries, but if you like the taste of your local strawberries, it was simple.
Why Korean Strawberries Are My Favorite:
Korean strawberries are a representation of excellence and hard work, not merely a fruit. They have a deep aroma, a flawless texture, and a flavor that lingers on the palate since they are grown utilizing sophisticated farming practices. They are always impressive whether they are consumed raw, mixed into smoothies, or added to desserts.
My admiration for these magnificent berries was enhanced by my attendance at the Korean Strawberry Summit. It was more than just enjoying some delectable fruit; it was about getting a taste of Korean agricultural prowess in Dubai.
