Kim Hongjoong, one of the members and captain (replaces the title of leader) of the boy group ATEEZ. Born on November 7, 1998, Hongjoong is also known as an idol who has a high concern for social issues. Through the official ATEEZ social media account page, Hongjoong invited ATINY (the name for ATEEZ fans) to join the "Global 6K for Water Virtual Run" to celebrate his birthday this year.
Global 6K in collaboration with World Vision, is a global campaign where participants can walk or run freely without time or place restrictions to donate clean water. The 6 km distance in this global campaign was carried out based on the difficulties of children in developing countries who walk 6 kilometers every day to get water clean water.
Registration for this event takes place on October 14-23 from the link uploaded on the KQ Entertainment application 'TOKTOQ'. Hongjoong's version of the digital number and the G6K medal-shaped emblem will be offered as a digital reward to ATINY who successfully registers. As for the duration of the event, ATINY can upload proof of walking or running on November 1-7 through their own social media accounts.
This global event was certainly welcomed enthusiastically by ATINY from various countries, including ATINY from Indonesia or more often called Indonesia ATINY (Inatiny). On Sunday, November 3, 2024, around 50 Inatiny gathered at Car Free Day (CFD) Jakarta to walk together. The route taken started from FX Sudirman to Sarinah and finished at Bundaran HI to cover 6 km. Accompanied by ATEEZ songs from a mini speaker brought by one of the Inatiny, adding to the excitement of this walk together. One thing that should not be missed is capturing the moment by taking selfies or recording with fan attributes such as dolls and ATEEZ photocards.
Behind the excitement of this Inatiny gathering, there was Aras, the owner of the X account with the username @jayurobge who succeeded in coordinating Inatiny to gather at CFD Jakarta.
“I personally really like joining CFD and the moment was perfect when Hongjoong invited me to donate by walking or running. An idea came up, it seemed like if those who donated gathered it could be more fun together to enliven this Hongjoong event,” explained Aras when asked by the author how the walking event with Inatiny was first formed.
“From there I tried to discuss with other ATINY who like running in CFD to determine the route so that it would fit the 6 km target. Then when it was posted on X, it turned out to be crowded and the response was positive. There were 80 Inatiny who wanted to join. But I don’t know if they all came on the day, what’s clear is that I didn’t expect it to be that crowded when we arrived at Bundaran HI to take a group photo!”
Aras added again, “Our gathering event is free and open to ATINY, whether they donate or not, because the intention is to have a fun gathering. So happy, from the beginning until the end of the walk there were also several ATINY who helped share free drinking water.”
Meanwhile, Jeje, the only ATEEZ fanboy who attended, said that this was his first CFD. “Honestly, this is my first CFD, I’m not confident jogging alone. When I found out that Inatiny was holding a group walk, I was so excited. We can talk and have fun with other ATINY friends, even walking 6 km didn’t feel tiring. It was impressive and increased my confidence,” said Jeje, sharing his impressions with the author.
As quoted from Hongjoong’s post on his Instagram account, “With the opportunity through this event, it means a lot to everyone who takes part to be able to walk and run with the same intent and purpose, regardless of time and place, to promote the issue of clean drinking water more widely.”
