K-Culture Digital Art Exhibition is being held at Nepal Art Council in Kathmandu from 27th September to 1st October. On the occasion of the 50th year of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and Nepal, the Embassy of Korea in Nepal organized an extraordinary digital art exhibition featuring traditional art from Korea in collaboration with National Museum of Korea.
This event showcased the timeless beauty of Korea's artistic heritage. The exhibition reflects the cultural similarities that unite Korea’s Buddhism, family-centered values, respect for elders, harmony with nature and a deep sense of community.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Nepal's Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey along with Korean Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Tae-Young Park, high-level government officials, senior officials from diplomatic missions, and from the media were present on the occasion.
The exhibition highlights were endless mountains and rivers: A Prosperous World unfolds in Nature and a deep appreciation for the natural world, Royal Procession with the people- respect for elders, a strong sense of ethics, family-centered values and journey of the soul: walking through the eternal cycle of birth, death and rebirth. These cultural cycles are beautifully reflected in the themes of this exhibition, which spans centuries of artistic expression and captures the essence of the traditions with mixing the conventional and the modern through innovative digital technology.
The video clips projected onto the massive panoramic scenes showcase the beauty and cultural richness of Korean heritage.
The Embassy looks forward to this crucial event that honors the past and looks forward to a future of continued cultural partnership and understanding. This artistic journey symbolizes deepening the cultural connection between Korea and Nepal.
