In August every year the Edinburgh International Festival takes place in the Scottish capital showcasing music, theatre and dance from artists from around the world. I was fortunate to see a fantastic concert with the classical violinist Bomsori Kim from Korea at the festival.
Bomsori Kim was joined by Thomas Hoppe from Germany on piano. The recital started with a piece by the French composer Fauré however focus was on violin music from Poland.
The recital took place in the Queen's Hall in Edinburgh and it featured beautiful music by Bacewicz, Paderewski and Wieniawski, however the highlight for me was Nocturne and Tarantella Op.28 by Szymanowski from 1915!
