On Saturday, June 7, 2025, I had the pleasure of taking part in a unique Dancheong workshop hosted by the Korean Cultural Centre Canada, in collaboration with OIS ART OF CANADA and Moowoosoo Gallery.
Dancheong is a traditional Korean decorative art used on wooden architecture and artifacts, known for its vivid colors and symbolic patterns. During the workshop, I had the chance to learn about the cultural significance and intricate beauty of these designs. It was truly fascinating, enriching, and inspiring.
One of the highlights for me was definitely painting my own Dancheong [buchae]!
A heartfelt thank you to the Korean Cultural Centre for organizing this wonderful event. I left feeling inspired, relaxed, and even more curious about Korean culture.
