Myeongdong is a haven for beauty lovers, and on my recent trip, BEAUTY PLAY is the kind of place that inspires you to try, to learn, and to have fun. I honestly had spent hours there. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by stunning city views, including the iconic Namsan Tower and Myeongdong Cathedral. It felt like the perfect backdrop for the K-Beauty transformation.

Beyond being a must-visit for K-Beauty enthusiasts or influencers, it’s also an excellent place for taking photos, with several backdrops and even a mini studio equipped with professional filming equipment and props such as a ring light, studio light, camera tripod and many more. This means you can film your own K-Beauty tutorial or even host live broadcasts for your social media audience with a truly professional look.

What really won me over was the selection. BEAUTY PLAY doesn’t just focus on the famous, big-name Korean brands we all know and love. Instead, they spotlight those hidden gems, the indie skincare brands and rising stars of the beauty world that are often hard to find unless you know exactly where to look. Everything is beautifully displayed, and you can touch, test, swatch, and feel everything. For someone like me who prefers to try before buying, it was honestly the most satisfying part of the visit.

One of the best parts of the visit was the free skin diagnosis service. I found out some surprising things about my skin type, which helped me understand why certain products hadn’t been working for me in the past. They also offered a personal color analysis service, a popular K-Beauty trend I have heard so much about, where I learned which makeup shades truly complement my undertones.

It’s exciting to know that places like the BEAUTY PLAY are currently a part of the KOREA BEAUTY FESTIVAL 2025. This festival, running from June 19 to July 18, transforms popular tourist spots across Seoul, including Dongdaemun, Myeong-dong, and Seongsu, into beauty hubs. It's designed as the only festival for global beauty fans to truly experience and enjoy K-Beauty in diverse categories, from hair and makeup to fashion, health, and wellness. The festival offers a wide range of programs and benefits. It is an amazing opportunity for anyone visiting Seoul during that time to dive deep into the K-Beauty world.
