From 16th May to 27th K-Pop fans in Warsaw had a chance to experience first K-Pop VR concert in Poland - TXT Hyper Focus VR concert at Atlantic Cinema. TXT is a 5 member group debuted under Big Hig Ent. in 2019. This amazing collaboration between K-pop music and technology left attendees in awe.

Upon arrival, each participant received a special ticket and two random member cards specially made exclusively for the event. After a quick tutorial on using VR goggles, fans were transferred into virtual world, where they could choose their favorite member as their guide who handed them a virtual lightstick.

As the first notes of “‘Sugar Rush Ride” played, the five members - Yeonjun, Taehyun, Hueningkai, Soobin and Beomgyu - appeared in stunning realism. Thanks to VR technology, they looked extremely realistic and it felt like they were right in front of you. Many fans were stunned by how close (sometimes even too close) the members seemed, almost as if they were stepping into their personal space - leading to endless cheers, gasps and excited comments full of admiration.

The 40-minute concert featured six songs: after “Sugar Rush Ride” and a few heartfelt ments from the members, fans also enjoyed “Magic Island”, “Good Boy Gone Bad”, “Tinnitus”, “Deja Vu” and the closing track “MOA Diary”- a song dedicated to their fans. The experience also included exclusive behind-the-scenes clips and the members’ thoughts on creating this VR.
The entire event lasted about an hour, the optimal duration for VR use to prevent any discomfort - but many people mentioned the time passed too quickly. Though the concert felt short, the experience was unforgettable, leaving fans smiling and excited as they exited.

I believe that it could be the future for the concert industry. VR opens up new possibilities for K-Pop fans worldwide - no more expensive travel or worrying about sold out tickets. Other artists like aespa, Kai and Cha Eunwoo have already begun exploring VR concerts. Perhaps soon, it will become an essential part of the K-Pop industry that could bring Korean culture and music even closer to people from all over the world.
