On 30 April, an induction ceremony was held with the slogan “I'm Press. Ready to Impress the World."of Honorary Reporters 2025 at the KOCIS Centre in Seoul's Jung-gu district. The Honorary Reporter program started in 2011, and this year is celebrating its 15th anniversary. This year's program includes 1,500 Honorary Reporters from 101 countries who will work to promote Korea to the world with their articles, photos and testimonies.

The event was live-streamed by approximately 500 Honorary Reporters, while others attended the ceremony in person in Korea.
After a brief introduction by the HR team staff, the Honorary Reporters heard words of appreciation and support from Ms Chae Su-hee, Director General of the Ministry's Global Public Relations Bureau. Afterwards, certificates were distributed, and those attending through live-stream displayed the certificates they had received online.

During the ceremony, there were some moments that were highly appreciated by the audience present and those following online: the testimonies of the Honorary Reporters and Korea Meets the World: a Cultural Showcase. Among the testimonies shared by Honorary Reporters were the two Egyptian sisters, Salwa and Esraa Elzeny who have participated in the program since 2011. In a video created especially for this occasion, they recounted their passion and faith in this program since it began. The musical and artistic performances of the musician and singer Michelle Paris from Malta, featuring a Maltese Korean Harp Medley, and two dancers Phạm Mỹ Hạnh and Phạm Thị Bích Nguyệt from Vietnam, who beautifully combined the tradition of their country of origin with that of Korea, were also the subject of many compliments by all Honorary Reporters on site and online.

My sister, Donatella Astolfi, also an Honorary Reporter, and I participated in the live streaming of the event, sharing our passion for Korea. I have been Honorary Reporter since 2021 and every year it is a great thrill and satisfaction to be able to participate in this program to spread Korean culture around the world. During the ceremony we had the opportunity to read and write messages of appreciation in the live chat, expressing gratitude for the ceremony, performances and testimonies from Honorary Reporters around the world.
In the second part of the ceremony manager Ms Kal Hong introduced essential guidelines that all Honorary Reporters must follow from initial registration on the platform to the editorial rules for writing articles. At the end of the session, attendees were allowed to ask questions to clarify any uncertainties.

The program also includes 1,300 K-influencers from 95 countries and their ceremony was held on 29 April 2025.
Now we are all ready to start a new and exciting year with the slogan ‘I'm Press. Ready to IMPRESS the world'.
